It’s pronounced Max, as in please turn that down, and then Cohn, as in traffic. One syllable. Not Cohen. I mean, it actually was Cohen originally and then got misspelled when my ancestors passed through Ellis Island at the turn of the century with nothing but the clothes on their backs, the clothes in their TUMI luggage, and an American dream of one day having a great great great grandson who would write for The Simpsons, The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, and premiere his very first short film, Proof of Concept, at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.

Though tbh I think my ancestors would’ve been more into my award-winning commercial work since they loved brands like KFC, Disney, Hulu, FX, HBO Max, Lifetime, Showtime, Freeform, TNT, TBS, TruTV, MTV, Pop TV, Big Lots!, Bowflex, Paramount, and Comedy Central.

Here’s my portfolio.

Currently I’m a Senior Writer at Le Truc, Publicis Groupe.
